General Introduction to the Centre:

H L Kong Medical Oncology Centre was founded by the Centre Director, Dr Kong Hwai Loong, who is assisted by a team of Oncology Nurses and support staff. With effect from July 1, 2009, another senior oncologist, Dr Wong Zee Wan, has joined the team. Our centre has two medical premises - within the Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre and in Novena Medical Center. |
We attend to individuals above the age of 12 years who are suspected to have cancers or patients whose cancer diagnoses have already been made. We administer medical cancer treatment using a variety of different injection and oral medications, including: chemotherapy, monoclonal antibody therapy, oral targeted therapy, hormonal therapy, as well as pain and other supportive medications. Finally, we also coordinate the total cancer management plan for our cancer patients, in close collaborations with other specialists as appropriate.

Accommodation and amenities for non-Singaporean patients:
H L Kong Medical Oncology Centre has two medical premises. One is situated within the Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre, which is centrally located in the heart of Orchard Road - the main shopping belt in Singapore. The other is situated in the Novena Medical Center, which is part of the Novena Square/Square 2 shopping mall complex, and is served by the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT). A variety of accommodation options are available within short walking distances from our two premises, including three/four/five-stars hotels, as well as short-stay and long-stay apartments. Choices of food are plentiful in the vicinity, and there are a large number of shops, super-markets and convenience stores that make the stay of our overseas patients and their families in Singapore more comfortable. Our Centre Staff would be most happy to help our patients get access to these facilities and services.
